'I choose to look at the brighter side' motivational words from a medicine student amidst the pandemic.

George Coronacion is a first year medicine student in University of Santo Tomas. Here she shares with us her personal experience as she strives to perform at her best.

"So my day to day is basically attending class online, waking up early and sleeping late. I must say it’s harder than the usual style of classes. Considering that studying medicine is demanding and hard, online medicine classes took it to a different level with the internet connection, fatigue and other factors. But despite the challenges I still make it through, one day at a time."

"I always keep in mind that this too shall pass. I look forward waking up everyday and thanking God that I am alive and healthy. Rather than dwelling in the negative things present, I choose to look at the brighter side— though don’t get me wrong, I acknowledge everything around me. Its just I know my priorities and it’s not bad if you choose to do your own thing. We all have our ways in coping up with what’s happening."

"We may have or not have the same experiences, circumstances, situations but one thing is for sure we are all human. No matter what setbacks we face, I know that we will find a way to rise up again. Life will be challenging and that's the ways it’s supposed to be because we learn and we grow through things. And always remember that you do you, in the end it’s always going to be you. You have to help yourself before you could help others, and that’s not selfish." -George Coronacion
